Club to Close Permanently - 6/11/2009
From PiedPipersHouseOfPong
Pied Piper’s Table Tennis Club will be closing permanently as I have abandoned any plans of trying to re-open the Club in the Fall. Although this is the right decision, it is nonetheless a painful one. That is -- it is with many regrets -- but I can no longer provide this service to the public.
There are tables for sale, both Hi-Qua tables and Kettler tables. More details will be forthcoming on the tables, but feel free to email me now – if you have an interest. I have not decided whether to sell the Butterfly Robot, as I may keep it for use at my home.
I have decided to keep the Email list active for the time being, with the purpose of promoting Table Tennis and perhaps an occasional pong-related poem. I realize that some of you will want removal from the Email list if there is no specific Club being promoted, so just let me know via return email if you want to be removed.
Future emails will cover topics such as places to play in the Denver area, coaching articles, poems, and the remaining equipment for sale. The Web Site will also remain active for now.
With respect to ZeroPong equipment, I will be selling my remaining stock only, not ordering any more equipment. I also have some Butterfly items for sale and some used equipment. I may choose to give some equipment to those people who helped me the most in running Pied Piper’s.
My deepest thanks to everyone who helped me with the Club, and I hope to see many of you playing Pong at other venues!! Despite how hard some of you worked to help me, the Club was just dealt too many serious blows – to the point where I don’t want to “fight back” any more.
Thanks and Regards,
Thomas (The Pied Piper of Pong)
